Gammon is a smoked leg steak much the same as a rump steak but with the flavour of bacon. Normally pan fried until golden and still juicy inside, this steak could be served with salad, chips or boiled potatoes and cabbage. Often serves with chips and peas in British pubs, garnished with a slice of pineapple. Also referred to as Kassler in Europe.
Each packet contains at least 2 slices of steak about 10mm thick and weighs over 300g.
