Biltong is air dried beef, originating in the southern African countries, it is made from a singular muscle and aged for about two months. Our Biltong comes from Highland Beef cattle grazed in the Horowhenua.
Dried meat is a traditional process to help preserve meat. It is cured in a malt vinegar herb cure and left to hang until dry. Biltong is normally sliced and eaten as a beefy snack. Its very high in protein so perfect for those camping trips or long walks.
Available in either a chopped packet of 100g or a 250g whole block.
